Tuition policy

last modified 2009-04-27 16:36

Tuition policy applicable to IMKE students at the Institute of Informatics of Tallinn University.

Students have 3 financial options for studies in IMKE program:

  1. Studies on Estonian state-financed place. The number of state-paid places is limited and will be determined and announced every year in June. In 2008 there were 8 places.
  2. Studies on self-financed place. The tuition fee during the academic year 2008/2009 is 23 400 EEK (≈ 1500 EUR) per semester. There are 2 semesters per every academic year, therefore, the tuition for the entire academic year 2008/2009 will be 46800 EEK (≈ 3000 EUR). Generally students are expected to complete IMKE program in two years.
  3. Studies through the Tallinn University Open University bureau. The tuition fee is paid according to the credit points (CP) of courses, where 1 CP = 1200.- EEK (≈ 77 EUR). This option is feasible to those who would like to take some of the IMKE courses, less than 20 CP-s per semester.

Tuitions are somewhat revised for every academic year, so students entering IMKE in September 2009 may consider the costs of entire IMKE program (2 academic years) to be approximately 100 000 EEK (≈ 6000 EUR).
